| The first step in creating a custom design for your individual needs begins with our in-house art department. After a consultation meeting with our designer Greg Lundgren, a hand drawn design proposal will be created for your review. Unlike some glass studios, Seattle Stained Glass is well versed in all genres of style and design. Completing over a thousand projects a year, our knowledge and experience covers a comprehensive understanding of both traditional and modern design. From old European to Craftsman, from Art Nouveau to Modern, we are ready to assemble a proposal that meets the specific needs of your home and individual tastes. As an architectural component, we place a strong emphasis on creating a window that |

| blends within the context of the existing environment. Often our goal is to create a window that looks as if it is original to a historic, turn-of-the~century home. Other times we are designing to create the ambiance of a revival period, such as Mediterranean, Victorian or Craftsman.
Whatever your needs may be, we would be happy to consult with you about design possibilities, and create a drawing for your review. Being a custom process, if we do not succeed in proposing the perfect window the first time, we will create secondary proposals, crafting and shaping the design until it meets your expectations and vision.
Before a drawing is composed, our designer will ask you a variety of questions pertaining to the function and place of the window, the architectural history and style of your home, the personal tastes and expectations of the client, issues of meeting safety and insulation, and cost outline. The more information provided the closer we will be to creating a design proposal that matches your needs. We may work directly with a home owner, or consult with architects, interior designers and building contractors.
We design and fabricate projects all around the world. Although it is ideal to meet in person, we may communicate with you in a number of ways, working through the same processes until the optimum design is reached. After a design is reached, we move onto glass selection, which we again can consult with you in person, or mail samples to you. Nothing is built until it reaches your complete approval. Upon completion, we provide all of your installation needs, or can crate and ship your finished panel by whichever mode of transportation suits you.
Please feel free to contact us for your individual design needs and see what we can create for you. All aspects of the design process are free of charge and non-committal. From date of your first meeting, please allow two to three weeks for completion of a design proposal. |
